Salary: VPS 5.2 - $124,888 to $136,747 + 12% superannuation

About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Permissioning Projects and Improvements, the Senior Program Lead manages a team responsible for implementing EPA's permissioning framework. You will design and lead a team reviewing permission conditions or permissions transitions and renewals under the Environment Protection Act 2017.
In this role you will:
- Define and develop the scope and project plan by leading workshops and planning activities in a cross functional manner with impacted teams and or departments at EPA, attaining agreement on overall approach considering all aspects of the regulatory framework and EPAs risk appetite.
- Develop and implement project management and change management plans, with clearly defined objectives, targets, and measures to assess effectiveness in both a qualitative and quantitative manner; continually align and integrate change management planning, activity, and evaluation with broader organisational activity to improve regulatory performance.
- Develop, deliver and provide ongoing reporting of the approved project plan milestones ensuring appropriate governance at each stage. Report each phase of the project to the Quarterly Business Review Forum for approval.
- Ensure effective documentation of approach, versioning and maintenance relating to changes to EPA' s condition library for all permissions.
Skills and experience:
- Project/Program management, process and systems and people leadership experience.
- Senior level experience in permissioning within Government is preferred.
- Proven ability to mentor, provide technical expertise and peer review the work of less experienced team members.
- Proven ability to effectively and positively engage and communicate with others, in a facilitation forum, in writing and verbally more broadly.
- A broad understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications is desirable.
