The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Curriculum Division in the VCE Curriculum Unit for a fixed term full-time position.
- Salary: $113,022 - $136,747 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%)
- Fixed term till 2nd March 2026
- Usual hours of work: Full time
- Usual work location: 200 Victoria Parade East Melbourne
Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to manage delivery of VCE Offshore programs, in particular, the licensing of Victorian schools to deliver the VCE internationally, implementing quality assurance processes, ensuring objectives are met and any risks or issues are identified and managed. This will include liaising with key stakeholders, collecting and reporting on program data, reviewing licence applications and writing briefs to the VCAA Board.
Senior Program Advisors lead the development of program materials to promote transnational delivery. This dynamic role will liaise with key stakeholders in Victoria and internationally.
About the unit
The role reports to the VCE International Team Lead, and is located within the VCE Curriculum Unit, in the Curriculum Division.
As part of its work as a global education leader, the VCAA licences the VCE for delivery internationally. This creates opportunity for Victorian schools, teachers and students to engage globally. It also improves the international recognition and acceptance of Victorian school education qualifications, particularly the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Experience in developing project reports or writing briefs to provide advice to enable effective decision making.
- Experience in program management, in particular, identifying program risks and issues and developing effective management strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualifications in education, international relations, public policy or a related field.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally to represent the organisation with professionalism and cultural sensitivity in diverse educational and governmental settings.
Desirable:
- Sound understanding of Victorian Public Service policies, processes, and structures, particularly within the education sector
- Experience with quality assurance processes in an educational context.
- Knowledge of curriculum frameworks, particularly the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).
- Knowledge of the transnational education sector / understanding of the delivery of school-based curriculum in offshore settings.
