About the role

This is a casual customer experience role at the City of Port Lincoln, located in Port Lincoln, SA 5606. As a Customer Experience Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality customer service to the public, ensuring enquiries and requests are handled efficiently and effectively.

What you'll be doing

Provide friendly and professional customer service to residents and visitors, both in-person and over the phone

Respond to general customer enquiries and direct customers to the appropriate department or service

Process customer payments and transactions accurately

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of council services, policies and procedures

Contribute to continuous improvement of customer experience processes and procedures

Assist with other administrative duties as required

What we're looking for

Previous customer service experience, preferably in a local government or public sector environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service

Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Proficient in using computer systems and office software

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of local government services and processes would be highly regarded
