About the role

Lagotto restaurant, located in the vibrant suburb of Fitzroy North, Victoria, is seeking talented Chefs to join its passionate culinary team. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that showcase the restaurant's commitment to seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

What you'll be doing

Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement innovative menu items

Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and efficient service

Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment in the kitchen

Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards

Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies

Provide mentorship and training to junior kitchen staff

Contribute to the overall success and positive reputation of the restaurant

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Chef in a hatted restaurant or high quality restaurant setting

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety and kitchen operations

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistently high-quality dishes

Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, innovative meals

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams

Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred
