About the role

Homebush Bay Foods is seeking a talented Cake Decorator to join our dynamic team in our Homebush, NSW bakery. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional baked goods and contributing to the overall success of our bakery.

What you'll be doing

Decorating cakes using a variety of techniques, including piping and cake masking

Ensuring all cakes and pastries are visually appealing, consistent with our brand, and meet quality standards

Collaborating with the baking team to ensure timely production and delivery of orders

Maintaining a clean and organized work station to support efficient and hygienic operations

Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer queries and requests

What we're looking for

2+ years of experience as a Cake Decorator or similar role in a commercial bakery or patisserie

Proficient in a range of cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and airbrush techniques

Strong eye for detail and a creative flair to design and execute visually stunning cakes and pastries

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple orders and deadlines

Collaborative team player who works well with the baking team to deliver high-quality products

Passion for the baking industry and a commitment to producing exceptional baked goods
