Greenham Tongala are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Value-Add Production Manager to lead daily operations in our value-adding department. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Boning Room Manager and working closely with the Loadout Manager and Plant Production Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating staff, stock levels, and production flow to ensure safety, quality, and customer specifications are always met.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and coordinate stock levels for value-add operations
· Communicate effectively with the Boning Room Manager and Loadout Manager to align daily priorities
· Oversee the operation of value-adding equipment and ensure optimal performance
· Ensure products meet all safety, quality, and customer specifications
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment in line with WHS guidelines
· Lead a small team and manage workflow under time constraints
· Complete required paperwork, reporting and documentation accurately
· Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department
What We're Looking For
· Proven experience leading or supervising a small production team
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
· Good communication and leadership skills
· Hands-on experience with value-adding equipment (preferred)
· Experience in meat processing (preferred)
· Understanding of food safety, quality, and WHS standards
Desired Qualifications
· Food Safety Training (mandatory)
· First Aid Certificate (preferred)
· WHS or safety-related training (advantageous)
