College of Medicine and Public Health

About the Role

This Research Fellow position supports the HEAL Cohort Study, focused on improving post-injury health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. You will work with the Chief Investigator and team on study design, data analysis, ethics applications, and academic publications. The role also involves engaging with partner sites, maintaining stakeholder relationships, supporting community engagement, contributing to funding applications, and providing some supervision.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Research experience in terms of publications in high quality publications, attraction of external competitive grants and presentations at a national and/or international level in public health and/or clinical/cohort studies.
  • Capability to plan and execute data collection and analysis for projects.
  • Interpersonal skills and experience in collaborating and engaging with diverse stakeholders and industry partners as well as contributing to a healthy workplace environment.
  • Ability to critically review the literature in relevant fields.
  • Experience to undertake collaborative research and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and industry.
