About the Role

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Primary Care Clinician Researcher to contribute to innovative research focused on designing, implementing, and evaluating future-oriented models of multidisciplinary team (MDT)-based primary care in Australia. This role forms part of Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia's (ARIIA) broader mission to enhance aged care through system integration. Guided by ARIIA Chief Investigators and supported by the Professor of Primary Care and System Integration, the Clinician Researcher will collaborate closely with key partners, including Adelaide Primary Health Network.

The position involves conducting in-depth analysis of critical elements essential to MDT-based primary care, drawing on both national insights and relevant research from the MRFF-funded project's ARIIA research centre to inform policy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead meaningful research with real-world impact on primary care delivery for older Australians.

Aged Care Research and Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA) continues to transform the way we care for Older Australians. Funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, ARIIA delivers activities across three workstreams to improve aged care for all Australians. Bringing together consumers, industry and researchers, ARIIA translates research into practice to modernise and pave the way for sector wide improvements, making a real and meaningful change to the aged care sector.

About You

You hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a discipline relevant to aged care, health, or social services, complemented by a health professional qualification and eligibility for registration in Australia. With over five years of clinical experience in primary care, aged care, or gerontology, you bring a deep understanding of the sector. You have a proven ability to identify, appraise, and translate evidence into accessible, practical resources tailored for diverse audiences, supporting real-world application and policy development. Your background includes a strong track record in knowledge translation and innovation, particularly in delivering and evaluating evidence-informed or quality improvement projects within aged care, health, or social services settings or policy areas. An experienced leader with demonstrated success in managing projects and teams, bringing a collaborative, end-user-focused approach to your work. This role suits someone passionate about improving care through research and practical impact.
