About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our clients Perth CBD 50 staff team. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in providing expert tax advice and compliance support to clients across Australia. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and contribute to the ongoing success of our clients successful and growing accounting practice.

What you'll be doing

Preparing complex individual and business tax returns

Conducting tax planning and advisory services for clients

Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations

Providing strategic tax advice to clients on a range of issues

Collaborating with other accounting and finance professionals

Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and best practices

Mentoring and guiding junior team members

GST and BAS Preparation

Payroll experience including salary reconciliation, preparation annual STP (PAYG), and employer superannuation requirements and reporting

Data entry to trial balance including bank reconciliations for multiple clients

Financial statement and tax return preparation

What we're looking for

Minimum 4 years' experience as a Tax Accountant in a public practice accounting

Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation laws and compliance requirements

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Taxation

Part or fully Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) designation

Skills with Xero preferred but also Quickbooks, MYOB, Handisoft tools, MS-Excel and MS-Word would be beneficial but not essential.
