About the Role

As our State Operations Manager – NSW, you'll take the helm of our NSW commercial cleaning operations, driving excellence across Sydney and its surrounding regions.

This isn't just about oversight, it's about leadership and strategic growth. You'll empower and guide a dedicated team of supervisors and frontline staff, complementing our culture of service excellence. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining our high standards and building genuinely positive client relationships across a diverse and dynamic portfolio that includes corporate offices, bustling retail centres, critical aged care and childcare facilities, and vital public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Oversight & Team Leadership: Lead and manage the NSW Commercial Cleaning Operations Team, providing hands-on guidance, training, motivation and support to ensure the consistent delivery of our service requirements. This includes actively addressing underperformance to maintain high standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement and maintain industry best practices, integrating the latest cleaning innovations to optimise service delivery. You'll develop and oversee compliant, cost-effective rosters aligned with budgetary and industrial instrument requirements, ensuring KPIs and agreed scopes are consistently achieved across the state.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Proactively manage client relationships, addressing feedback professionally and driving improvement initiatives. You'll also liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Administration: Prepare, maintain, and oversee essential documentation such as checklists, scopes, and workflow management records. You'll ensure strict adherence to all safety, quality, and operational protocols, accurately reporting on any issues.
  • Business Growth: Support the sales team by assisting with the preparation of estimates, contributing to the expansion of our services.

About You:

You're a highly accomplished operations leader with over five years of dedicated industry leadership experience in commercial cleaning and facilities management. You possess a proven ability to strategically manage multi-site teams and successfully mobilise large, complex contracts from inception. Your unwavering commitment to delivering superior service standards, coupled with a rigorous focus on safety, compliance, and client satisfaction, sets you apart. You thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrating a proactive approach to operational challenges and an innate drive for excellence.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Proven Leadership: A genuine desire to mentor, nurture, and elevate a high-performing team.
  • Senior Operations Acumen: At least 5 years of senior operations management experience within the Commercial Cleaning and Facilities Management industry, expertly overseeing multiple sites, consistently exceeding KPIs, and delivering superior service.
  • Mobilisation Mastery: Demonstrated success in launching large-scale cleaning operations.
  • Exceptional Communication: Outstanding communication and customer service skills that build strong relationships.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient computer literacy, especially with Excel and Word.
  • Organisational Prowess: Excellent time management and organisational skills to juggle multiple priorities seamlessly.
  • Flexibility: Willingness and availability to work in a shift environment as needed.
  • Safety Champion: A genuine commitment to achieving best practice safety and compliance procedures.
  • Essential Credentials: A current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to readily obtain a current Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance Certificate, and NDIS worker screening clearance.
