Job Description
- Based in Bankstown, on the lands of the Cabrogal People
- Full-time, max-term until June 2026
- $80,000 per annum + 12% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550
Through the Early Childhood Approach (ECA) program, we support families by:
Understanding children’s development and unique needs
Finding the right support services for children
Equipping families with skills to support children's growth
Connecting families with local community resources
Your role, your impact
As a Family Support Specialist, you will work alongside families of young children with disability or developmental delays to ensure they feel empowered and equipped to navigate the NDIS and maximise the support available to their child. This role plays a vital part in creating positive, lasting change in the lives of children and families by helping them build capacity, set goals, and access the right services.
You will:
Build trusted relationships with families and service providers
Support families to understand, implement and review their child’s NDIS plan
Facilitate plan reassessments and monitor progress toward individualised goals
Provide practical guidance and emotional support, especially during challenging conversations
Maintain accurate documentation and manage administrative tasks efficiently

Who we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone with:
Exceptional customer service and a strong family-centred approach
Excellent communication skills to simplify complex information for families
Experience in early childhood education, administration, or customer service
An understanding of the NDIS and its impact on families of children with additional needs
Confidence using technology and online systems, including telehealth tools
What will make you stand out
Previous experience working with children with developmental delays or disability
Understanding of child development and/or early childhood intervention
