About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a leader to direct a fun team of chefs who can create sensational dishes for our customers. This person will set the food culture for the venue and able to design upcoming menus for the venue.

As the Head Chef, you will be accountable for delivering delicious and consistent food, whilst also maintaining a strong focus on the commercial side of the business. Furthermore, you will be responsible for hiring, training and developing your own team to ensure their ability matches your expectations.

The culinary offering will have a focus all types of food offerings. And as the leader of the culinary program, you will work closely with the directors to drive the performance of the venue.

In addition to the 2 venues at Marvel Stadium, you will also collaborate with other venues across the Kahan Group to ensure their culinary offerings meet our high standards.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

Experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef

Able to drive a team and work independently

An open & professional communication style with the ability to drive a team to success

Strong understand of dietaries and how to process them in a high-pressure environment

Previous management skills and the ability to work independently to deliver on KPIs

Understanding of operational performance and the ability to make improvements when and where needed

Strong financial acumen relevant to labor and cost control

A highly structured and organised approach, managing multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment

Organisational and time management skills

Experience with rostering systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Exceptional communication and presentation

Available and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
