About the role

Great Value Holidays' is seeking an experienced Tour Guide to join our dynamic team based in Cairns, Queensland. As an Experienced Tour Guide, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional sightseeing experiences to our valued customers. You'll be guiding groups of mature clients (55+) whilst travelling along the Savannah Way from Cairns to Karumba return. This is a casual position offering flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

Sharing your knowledge of the region's history, culture, and natural wonders

Ensuring the safety and comfort of tour participants throughout the experience

Resolving any queries or concerns from customers in a friendly and professional manner

Collaborating with the wider tour operations team to maintain high-quality tour offerings

Have experience with using a Runsheet and able to keep group on time as per Runsheet

Reconfirm itinerary items ahead of time, including accommodation, meals and day tours as per the comprehensive Runsheet

Use Incident Management Plan where required & adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a tour guide or in a similar customer-facing role

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and captivate audiences

Knowledge of the local area and its attractions, history, and culture

A friendly, outgoing personality and a passion for providing exceptional customer service

Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills to handle unexpected situations

Current First Aid Certificate

Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia
