As an Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Coordinator at the Y Canberra Region, you’ll take on a key leadership role in our Children’s Services team—creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children, while guiding and supporting your team to deliver high-quality care.
Our Latham program operates from Latham Primary School on Onslow Street, offering a convenient and central location for families in Canberra’s Northwest.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with:
- A genuine passion for working with children and their families.
- Motivation and enthusiasm to contribute to a supportive, dynamic team.
- Knowledge of the National Education and Care Law and Regulations.
- Familiarity with the My Time, Our Place Framework, the National Quality Framework, and the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Ability to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences for children.
- Proven leadership and daily management skills.
- Commitment to best practices in safety, wellbeing, and child safeguarding.
What You’ll Need
- At least 2 years of experience working with primary school-aged children.
- Diploma or Degree in early childhood education and care
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework, and My Time, Our Place.
- A current WWVP Check (ACT) or willingness to obtain.
- First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certification or willingness to obtain.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable.
