Thryv
Posted 3 days ago
At Thryv, we’re on an ambitious journey to become a leading global SaaS and platforms business. For over 125 years, we’ve helped small businesses compete and win, and today, we’re doing it through cutting-edge software and automation that gives them more time, better tools, and real control.
As our footprint expands across Australia and New Zealand, so too does our collaborative culture — one where HR has a real seat at the table, and where our leaders actively seek your advice, trust your input, and value the strategic impact of great people practices.
Our Employee Experience team plays a vital role in creating an environment where people love to work and grow. We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented HR Advisor to join our close-knit team and help elevate the employee journey across every stage of the lifecycle.
About the Role
As an HR Advisor, you’ll be a trusted partner to our people managers and teams, delivering practical, commercial, and forward-thinking HR advice and support across Australia and our global operations. Whether it’s employee relations, performance development, recruitment, or process improvement, your work will directly support our people to be their best version — and you’ll have the autonomy to learn through doing.
You’ll bring a proactive mindset, a love for getting the detail right, and a collaborative approach to everything you do. This is a role where being process-driven and team-first will set you up for success and you will join a high-performing, values-led HR team that works closely with all parts of the business, ensuring HR isn’t just supporting strategy — we’re helping shape it.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand, delivering commercial, timely HR advice
- Partner with leaders on performance, engagement, compliance, and team development
- Provide accurate guidance on ER matters, workplace investigations, and policy interpretation
- Support and help deliver annual HR programs such as the Performance and Remuneration Review
- Lead and assist with full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee development
- Help improve systems, processes, and employee touchpoints across the lifecycle
- Play a key role in HR projects that elevate our employee experience across the region
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a fast-paced, evolving business
- Working knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and best practice
- A tertiary qualification in HR or a related field (desirable)
- Confidence across a wide range of HR disciplines — from ER to L&D and recruitment
- Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
- A detail-driven, process-oriented mindset and a “get it done” attitude
- A team-first approach — you’ll roll up your sleeves to support others and help the team thrive
- Comfort working independently while contributing as part of a connected, purpose-driven team
- A growth mindset — you’re curious, hands-on, and excited to learn by doing
Why Join Thryv?
At Thryv, we walk the talk when it comes to culture, empowerment, and learning. We believe in giving people real ownership, and we support that with trust, access, and opportunity. You’ll be encouraged to think big, challenge the norm, and grow through action — all within a collaborative business where HR is seen as a true partner, not a back-office function.
You’ll enjoy:
- A supportive, people-first culture
- Genuine collaboration across the entire ANZ business
- Flexibility to work in a way that suits you
- Space to take initiative and run with your ideas
- A high-performing HR team where your work is recognised and your voice matters
Our Values
- Act Like You Own the Place
- Think Long Term, Act with Passion and Integrity
- Client Devoted
- Making Money is a By-product of Helping People
- Invest in Our People
- Under Promise, Over Deliver
- Done, Done, and Done
Sound like your kind of team?
Apply today and become part of a values-led company where your ideas are welcomed, your growth is supported, and your work makes a real difference.
