Senior service technician | T&M Air conditioning | Sydney
Most techs talk a big game, you actually know what you’re doing.
You don’t need three visits, five phone calls, and a “we’ll monitor it” to figure out what’s going on.
You know the systems. the pressures. the sounds.
You know when a unit’s running hot, when a drain’s about to overflow, or when a site’s been patched up one too many times.
And you know how to get in, get it sorted, and get it signed off — clean, correct, and done right the first time.
You don’t guess, cross your fingers, or wait for someone else to take the lead.
You don’t wing it. you don’t panic. you don’t make excuses.
You diagnose.
You problem-solve.
And you finish strong — without cutting corners or needing a manager to hold your hand.
You’ve been on the tools long enough to know the issue’s rarely what’s written on the job sheet.
It’s a dodgy install by someone who rushed to knock off early.
It’s a client who hasn’t had a proper service in years.
It’s a job where no one’s taken real ownership until now — and you’re the one who finally does.
You don’t lose your cool when the job goes sideways.
You don’t blame the apprentice when parts are missing.
And you don’t waste time doing the bare minimum just to get to the next call.
You’re the one people turn to when things get tough.
You lead without ego.
You teach without barking.
You hold the standard — and you don’t let it slip.
You don’t want to be micromanaged.
You want to be trusted, backed, and left to do what you do best.
And if you’re sitting there reading this thinking, “finally, someone gets it”* — then yeah.
You’re exactly who we’re looking for.
About us
We’re T&M Air Conditioning — a commercial service and maintenance company working across Sydney's high-rise buildings, Aquatic Centre's, gymnasiums, and other critical environments where comfort, safety and system performance matter.
We don’t chase shiny ducted installs or race to be the cheapest quote.
Our clients call us when they want it done properly.
Our team turns up with the right gear, the right mindset, and the skills to get it sorted.
We've built a business around quality, consistency, and treating our techs like professionals — not liabilities.
We run clean vans, solid systems (aroflo), and a steady pipeline of work.
You’ll know where you’re going, what you’re walking into, and what needs to get done — not chasing info at 8:30am on a job that wasn’t even booked.
Our crew is tight — no passengers, no politics, no dead weight.
Everyone pulls their load. Everyone's held to the same standard and everyone has each other’s back, whether the job’s a breeze or a nightmare.
You’re not just coming into a job here — you’re stepping into a team that’s growing the right way.
No chaos. no churn and burn. just smart growth, good clients, and the kind of work you can be proud to put your name on.
Why this is different
At T&M Air, you’re trusted to run your jobs like a professional — because that’s what you are.
You’ll get support when you need it, gear that works, and systems that don’t waste your time.
We don’t work every weekend, only a few times a year, and only with notice.
We don’t send you across town three times a day and we don’t expect you to fix a mess in an hour that took someone else six months to create.
You’ll have your own van — stocked, clean, and not shared.
Your work will be valued, not just ticked off.
And when you spot an issue, quote a fix, and get it over the line — you’ll be rewarded for it.
You’ll be joining a team where:
your calls are backed
your voice is heard
and your skills actually matter
You’ll work alongside other sharp, experienced operators — not cowboys or clock-watchers.
You’ll get a say in how things are run and if you’ve got the hunger to step into more — fire certs, mentoring, leadership — we’ll back you all the way.
This isn’t a role you take because you’re desperate.
It’s the role you take when you’re ready to be respected for what you do.
What you’ll be doing
leading service, breakdowns, and maintenance on high rise central plant, vrv/vrf, ducted, split, and multi-head systems
running complex jobs from start to finish — no loose ends, no “someone else will sort it”
mentoring junior techs — showing your thinking, not just barking instructions
documenting everything in aroflo — notes, photos, materials, updates
keeping your van sharp — organized, stocked, clean
working with fire companies and certifiers during annual AFSS inspections
supporting quoting by spotting issues, flagging upgrades, and handing over clean scopes
communicating clearly with the office and service manager — no ghosting, no guesswork
showing up prepared, steady under pressure, and ready to lead from the front
What you’ll need
Cert iii in air con & refrigeration
Arctick license
White card + current driver’s license
Minimum 5 years on the tools in service + maintenance
Experience leading or mentoring on-site
Confidence using aroflo (or similar system)
Strong communication and fault-finding skills
Pride in your work, and a mindset of “do it once, do it right”
Willingness to undertake FPAA fire cert training (preferred, not essential)
How to apply
Don’t send us a boring cover letter — we’re not hiring based on buzzwords or how well you format a pdf. We want to see who you actually are and how you operate.
Send us a short 1–2 minute video. nothing fancy. just show us your van, your setup, your tools, or even a job you’re proud of. Tell us what kind of crew you’re looking to be part of, and why this role caught your eye.
Make sure you include your video and your details in your application. We’re not going to spell out exactly how to send it — if you can’t figure that out, this probably isn’t the right gig for you.
Back your skills. Back your standard. Join the crew at T&M Air.
