We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team in a Part-Time capacity with occasional weekend work.

About SERB Pharmaceuticals

SERB provides rescue medicines typically used in emergency rooms and intensive care units to treat patients for whom there are limited treatment options. We are dedicated to delivering quality medicines that make a real difference to patients and their families through the development, manufacture, and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products. Our current portfolio of antidotes counteracts certain snake venoms and the toxicity associated with some heart and cancer medications.

Role Overview

As a Production Technician, you’ll be hands-on with our sheep handling activities—both indoors and outdoors—to support our immunization and antibody collection programs. You’ll work closely with the Production Supervisor and Senior Technicians, helping maintain records and keeping our production standards high. You’ll also play a part in our facility upkeep, following the standards set by the TGA and FDA, and meeting Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines.

Main Responsibilities

You’ll help produce clean, safe serum in our facility by:

Using low stress stock handling techniques to work with our flock and help to maintain a high standard of animal welfare

Making sure animal care practices meet “best practice” standards, and following the guidelines in the “Model Code of Practice for the Welfare of Animals – The Sheep”

Following all our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Performing every task with a focus on safety, hygiene, and detail

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have a background in Animal Science or Agriculture, but it’s not essential

Enjoy working with a big team towards a common goal

Good communication skills and high attention to detail

Comfortable using Microsoft Office

A South Australian driver’s license is required
