Are you passionate about safety and ready to make a tangible impact across dynamic construction sites? We're seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Advisor to champion health, safety, and wellbeing practices across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

About the Role

This is a hands-on advisory position that plays a critical role in embedding safe work practices across active sites. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll support the development and implementation of WHS systems, conduct regular inspections and audits, and guide teams in maintaining compliance with legislative requirements and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain site-specific health & safety systems
• Lead site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Investigate incidents and support development of corrective actions
• Prepare monthly safety reports and chair project HSEQ meetings
• Monitor high-risk activities (e.g. working at heights, confined spaces)
• Coordinate safety inductions and deliver toolbox talks
• Support workers' comp and return-to-work processes
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports

What You'll Bring

• Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (Essential)
• Construction White Card (Required)
• ICAM or similar investigation training (Desirable)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar safety role within construction
• Solid understanding of WHS legislation and risk management in high-risk construction environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence safe behaviours

Nice to Have

• Experience with high-risk construction (cranes, excavation, confined space)
• Working knowledge of safety software and digital reporting tools
