Paradise Resort Gold Coast is looking for a proactive Maintenance Team Leader to help oversee the daily operations of our Maintenance Department.

In this fast-paced and hands-on role, you'll work closely with the Maintenance Manager to prioritise tasks, lead a team of Duty Technicians, and ensure the ongoing upkeep of our facilities, plant, equipment, guest rooms and public areas.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced leader who enjoys variety and problem-solving in a resort environment.

As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for the following:

Assign and monitor daily jobs for the team of Duty Technicians

Provide support, supervision, and guidance to the maintenance team

Inspect the property daily and identify hazards or repairs

Monitor stock requirements in accordance with the Storeman

Coordinate small project-based works alongside the Maintenance Manager

Liaise with resort departments to resolve guest maintenance issues

Ensure safety procedures, documentation and recordkeeping are followed

Assist with team training and the onboarding of new staff

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

We’re looking for someone who:

Has leadership or senior-level experience in maintenance or facilities

Has strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

Has good time management skills and can delegate the team effectively

Is hands-on, reliable and physically fit

Comfortable using job tracking systems (e.g. Optii)

Can remain calm and professional in a guest-facing environment

Has basic computer literacy and experience using maintenance systems

Has experience in a Resort environment. (advantageous)

Be able to work a rotating roster; including days, evenings, weekends and Public Holidays
