Role Purpose:
Our Cairns Office are seeking an experienced Civil Law Legal Practitioner with a strong interest in social justice. As one of Queensland's largest legal practices, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About You:
- You must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court.
- You should demonstrate a high level of professional service and capacity across a wide range of Civil Law proceedings (including some experience in Domestic Violence applications; plus, casework relating to Litigation and other claims, Anti-discrimination matters, Workplace Relations, Wills and Estates, Administrative Law, and Consumer Law/Protection.
- Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years of full-time experience, resilience in handling complex cases, and the ability to develop culturally competent service skills.
