Animal Attendant And Trainer : Full-Time Position on Dairy Farm

We have an Animal Attendant position available at our calf-rearing facility on our South Coast NSW dairy farm.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dependable staff member

We require a full time position to help rear and care for our dairy calves

Duties include the following daily tasks :

· Daily care of our dairy calves at our calf-rearing facility, with the main priority being animal welfare

· Daily monitoring of the health and wellbeing of calves ( aged 2 days till 12 weeks of age)

· Administering medications, vaccinations and worming drenches as required to calves, ensuring that all treatment records are kept up to date

· Liase with farm owners and vet as needed about treatment options for calves

· Preparation and transportation of calf feed (milk , pellets and hay) to calf pens

· Ensure water and feed troughs are regularly cleaned and filled daily

· Participate in weekly clean out of calf pens, includes cleaning, disinfecting and preparing fresh bedding for calf pens

· Transporting of calves between different pens, using calf trailer and buggy, depending on calf’s age and stage of feeding

· Ability to work with other calf rearing staff

Annual Salary of $76,515 Plus Super
