We're recruiting a Senior Intelligence Analyst to join the Intelligence Unit at Building Commission NSW. This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset who is looking to deepen their experience in intelligence within a regulatory or enforcement environment.

About the Intelligence Unit
We are a specialist team that supports regulatory and enforcement functions through timely, high-quality intelligence. Our work underpins decision-making, risk targeting, and strategic planning across Building Commission NSW. We work collaboratively across directorates and with external regulatory and enforcement partners.

Your impact
As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you will:

  • Conduct tactical, operational and strategic intelligence analysis
  • Produce intelligence reports and briefs that support regulatory action across Building Commission NSW
  • Contribute to complex intelligence projects and assist in building the unit's analytical capability
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to share intelligence and develop insights
  • Help guide and mentor more junior team members as needed

What you bring

  • Experience in, or an aptitude for, regulatory or law enforcement intelligence work, including the application of critical thinking techniques
  • Proficiency in analysing complex data and clearly communicating insights through intelligence products
  • Sound IT and information management skills, including familiarity with intelligence systems, analytical tools, case management systems, and Microsoft applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including consultation, negotiation, and presentation
  • An understanding of contemporary investigation techniques and relevant legislative frameworks
  • Experience delivering business or intelligence outputs and supporting colleagues in their development

Essential requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in intelligence, analysis, or a regulatory/law enforcement setting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain National Security Clearance at the Baseline level
  • National Police Check
  • Willingness to undergo probity screening in line with relevant legislation and policies
