The George Harcourt Inn is seeking a passionate and skilled Demi Chef with over a year of

experience in a similar role to join our outstanding culinary team. We operate six days a

week, serving lunch and dinner, and we are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic

environment.

The successful applicant will be a confident and creative person who can lead, as well as

work with other professional team members. You will have the opportunity to

implement your skills and express your personal creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

 Overseeing kitchen activities, including food preparation, production, and staff

training.

 Ensuring high-quality food presentation, plating, and timely service.

 Adapting menus on short notice to accommodate dietary needs and allergies.

 Managing inventory, stock rotation, and maintaining sanitation standards.

 Communicating effectively with management, kitchen, and front-of-house staff.

 Experience as a chef, preferably over one year experience in Pub/Bistro

environment

 Assisting the Sous Chef and Head Chef and stepping into their role when required.

Requirements:

 Minimum of one year of experience as a chef, preferably in a pub or bistro

environment.

 Certificate III/IV in Cookery (Trade qualification).

 Basic computer skills

 Availability for flexible shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and late

nights.
