CNC Machinist/Programmer
Location: Western Suburbs
Salary: $45 - $55 an hour
Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Toolmaker to join their team on day shift. This is a hands-on role working with a close-knit crew, machining precision parts used in tooling, jigs, and fixtures. You'll be based in a well-equipped workshop and work on a range of parts that support manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, this role suits someone who enjoys a mix of CNC programming, setup, and machining - with a focus on quality and safety.
What You'll Be Doing
Programming CNC machines using CAM software
Setting up and operating machines
Machining high-precision components from start to finish
Carrying out basic machine maintenance and checks
Following all safety and quality procedures - safety is a big deal to us
What You'll Need
Background as a CNC machinist or toolmaker
Experience with CAM programming
Confident reading detailed mechanical drawings
Able to use manual machines (mills, lathes) and power tools when needed
Organised, reliable, and able to manage your time and tasks
