The Opportunity
A leading planning and project advisory firm is seeking an Associate-level Statutory Planner to play a key role in their growing North Sydney team. This consultancy delivers landmark projects across NSW, with a strong focus on schools, universities, and community assets.

You’ll work closely with internal Project Managers and senior stakeholders to guide DAs and SSDs through complex statutory pathways. This is a client-facing, leadership role suited to someone who wants both challenge and purpose in their next move.

What You’ll Do

Be a Consultative Planner

Lead statutory planning input across a portfolio of high-impact education projects

Prepare and manage DAs, SSDs, and planning advice for clients

Coordinate with project managers, authorities, and consultants to navigate approvals

Mentor junior planners and contribute to internal capability

Represent the business confidently in meetings and negotiations

What You’ll Bring

8+ years’ experience in statutory planning (consultancy and/or government)

Strong knowledge of the EP&A Act and planning processes in NSW

Experience working on education, institutional, or complex urban projects

Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or similar
