We currently have an opportunity for a new Employment Coach to join our team located in Warragul working with our Supported Employees employed in our two social enterprise cafes and our sustainable retail store, Vintage Vibes.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Employment Coach, you will work 1:1 with our Supported Employees, providing guidance and support in their employment and leading by example while undertaking cafe and retail tasks. Working in the Supported Employment Services Team you will use your skills and experience in the disability sector to take a person-centred approach to assisting Supported Employees to maintain their employment, learn new skills and manage behaviours that may impact productivity. Key to this role is the willingness to lead by example and work alongside the supported employee in undertaking various tasks in our cafes and retail settings. This may include; customer service, food/drink preparation, cleaning, sorting clothing and merchandising.
This is a permanent fulltime position with hours of work being 8 - 4.06 Monday to Friday.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for people who are:
- Passionate and dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to be their best
- Experienced working in a disability setting; either direct support, employment or education
- Genuine in their commitment to our values and making a real difference
- Clear communicators – both written and verbal
- Positive, flexible and solutions focused with good time management skills
- Have some experience working within the hospitality sector (experience in making coffees is ideal).
Also required to for this role:
- Strong computer literacy skills – competent with Microsoft Office
- Minimum level 2 in First Aid (current or willing to undertake)
- Current valid drivers’ licence
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations or authorised medical exemption
- Willingness to undertake a NDIS Worker Screening Check
- An appropriate level of fitness to be able to undertake the physical nature of the role (being on your feet a large part of the day)
- Australian working rights suitable for a permanent fulltime position
