About the role

JB CARE PTY LTD is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Mickleham, VIC. This full-time role will involve providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to continue living with their family and maintain their health and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitating recreational and social activities to promote client wellbeing.

Advocating for client needs and collaborating with allied health professionals to develop and implement client-centred support plans

Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for clients by adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support the delivery of quality services

Participating in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

We are only looking for a FEMALE STAFF (It's a strict requirement from the family) who lives close to Mickleham and is from Indian background ideally a student.

A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent qualification (Nursing background is a plus)

Preference will be given to student who is available to do different rostered shifts which also include sleepovers.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and other stakeholders

Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to empowering and supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals

A satisfactory National Police and NDIS Check and Working with Children Check
