Org Design & Change Specialist – 2.5 Month Contract
- $1066.24 p/d + super
- 2.5 Month Contract (possible extensions)

The Org Design & Change Specialist role has a lead role in the review and design of divisional and branch level operating models, organisational structures, functional accountabilities, and role design to ensure the proposed future state models, functions, and roles meet organisation design principles and characteristics and other relevant parameters.
In this role you will work on:
- Develop functional accountabilities for divisions, branches and units. Map current and future state accountabilities to account for any changes.
- Develop organisational design and structural options aligned to the operating model organisation design principles and characteristics and other relevant parameters.
- Develop and/or oversee the development of detailed organisational structure charts accounting for position and people in current and future state structure charts. Ensure alignment to organisational workforce data, resolve anomalies, and highlight changes from current to future state.
- Drive consistency across Divisions and Branches in organisation and role design approach.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with business leaders and enabling functions to develop fit for purpose and accurate material.
- Provide oversight, quality assurance and coordination for the preparation of role descriptions, and the job evaluation process to ensure compliance and consistency. Ensure governance and alignment across the organisation of organisational design, mapping to job families and creation of role capabilities (contained in role descriptions).
About you:
- Previous State Government experience.
- Proven experience in organisational design, change management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of operating models, organisational structures, and workforce planning.
- Experience with developing and mapping functional accountabilities and role designs in large organisations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior business leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience in governance processes, job evaluation, and ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
- Ability to drive consistency and standardization across diverse teams and branches.
- Knowledge of best practices in organisational design and job architecture, particularly in the public sector.
