Resourceful Recruitment has been engaged by a leading Australian energy company to recruit an HSE Program and Insights Lead for their transformative infrastructure project.
Please note this is a FIFO role on a 5/2 Roster, Monday to Friday and can be located out of Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Your Role
You'll be the strategic leader driving HSE program management and data analytics across this complex infrastructure project. You'll transform safety data into actionable insights and lead initiatives that directly impact worker safety outcomes.
You'll shape the HSE strategic roadmap, develop analytical capabilities to predict and prevent incidents, and collaborate with project teams to embed safety excellence at every level. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role with cross-functional influence across project management, operations, and contractor teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and embedding the HSE strategy across all project operations
- Establishing and refining data analytics including dashboards to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
- Delivering effective program management for HSE strategic initiatives and audit findings
- Reviewing health, safety & environment investigation reports and implementing corrective actions
- Monitoring compliance with recommendations and regulatory requirements
- Supporting HSE operational and strategic reporting on a fortnightly and monthly basis
- Conducting audits/reviews and learning teams that support the HSE Strategy and Assurance Programme
- Working with the HSE Systems Manager to identify system improvements and lessons learned.
Your Background & Experience
I'm looking for a safety-minded professional who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments. You're naturally analytical, detail-oriented, and driven to find solutions that prevent incidents before they occur.
You'll bring:
- Ideally, 10 years of experience in safety roles with at least 5 years in similar roles in civil construction, utilities or related industries
- Safety Management System Auditing qualification
- HSE program or project management experience with proven results
- Risk Management expertise including experience with Fatality Prevention/Major Hazards/Critical Control program implementation
- Highly developed influencing & negotiation skills to drive change across diverse teams
- Deep knowledge of WHS legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience utilising project management tools such as Asana or Jira
- Proactive, goal-oriented approach with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
