About the role

Join the talented team at JoineryX as a Senior Cabinet Maker. As an experienced joiner and cabinetmaker, you will play a key role in crafting premium custom cabinetry and furniture for residential and commercial clients across the Kogarah region. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a respected local business, utilising your exceptional woodworking skills to deliver high-quality results.

What you'll be doing

Interpreting design plans and client briefs to develop custom cabinetry and furniture solutions

Safely operating power tools and woodworking machinery to fabricate cabinets, shelves, desks and other joinery items

Performing precision measuring, marking, cutting, assembling and finishing of wood products

Collaborating closely with the design team to bring their visions to life

Adhering to all workshop safety protocols and quality control procedures

Providing guidance and mentorship to junior cabinetmakers as required

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified Cabinet Maker or Joiner

Excellent knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials and joinery methods

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical plans, drawings and specifications

High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently to deadlines

Demonstrated experience mentoring and training junior team members

Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent qualification
