About the Role
Join the skilled team at HSY Joinery as a Senior Cabinet Maker, where your expertise in custom joinery and cabinetry will be highly valued. Based in the Auburn region, this full-time role offers the opportunity to work on bespoke residential and commercial projects for a respected, locally owned business. You’ll play a vital role in crafting high-quality furniture and cabinetry, collaborating closely with our design and production teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Interpreting technical drawings, design plans, and client briefs to create custom cabinetry and furniture solutions

Safely operating a range of woodworking machinery and power tools to produce cabinets, shelving, desks, and detailed joinery pieces

Performing precision measuring, marking, cutting, assembling, and finishing of timber products

Collaborating with the design team to bring creative concepts to life

Ensuring all work meets safety standards and adheres to workshop protocols and quality control procedures

Providing leadership, guidance, and on-the-job training to junior cabinet makers when required

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Cabinet Maker or Joiner

Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and joinery methods

Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and design documentation

High attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines

Experience mentoring or supervising junior tradespeople
