Experienced FMCG food service company is seeking an energetic individual that has all round experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Cost Accounting to manage the portfolio in support of the Financial Controller. General Summary:

Assist the Financial Controller in maintaining the Accounts receivable and financial Accounting function of the Company.

Strong analysis and attention to detail is highly sought after.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:

Process, track, and record incoming payments from customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.

Issue statements, maintain accounts receivable records, and reconcile customer accounts to ensure the aging is up to date.

Manage the customer data and perform necessary credit checks

Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up with customers regarding overdue accounts, and facilitate collections as necessary.

Prepare and analyse reports on accounts receivable status for management and stakeholders.

Maintain accurate financial records

Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation, accruals, and preparing financial statements.

Assist with broader accounting functions such as managing general ledger entries, assisting in preparing budget and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Participate in sample stock take on a fortnightly or monthly basis

Work with the AP accountant to formulate a cash flow forecast for the Company

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience (3+ years) in accounts receivable, accounting, or a similar role, food distribution business-related experience is a bonus.

Proficiency with accounting software (preferably Business Central) and advanced MS Excel skills.

Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Attention to detail, proactive, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

CPA or equivalent certification is highly regarded.
