Full Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Safety Advisor to oversee WHS across multiple fast-paced fit-out projects throughout NSW. We are looking for someone that has strong site construction experience but can also implement and develop their current systems that they have in place. Great opportunity to grow with this business. In this roaming role, you’ll work closely with site teams and subcontractors to drive a proactive safety culture, ensure compliance, and deliver practical, on-the-ground support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implementing WHS strategies, systems and initiatives
• Monitoring the progress and effectiveness of WHS campaigns on site
• Driving a culture of WHS in accordance with Project Values
• Motivating, leading and mentoring site personnel to foster positive team dynamics, staff morale and work outcomes
• Ensuring that all employees and sub-contractors are adhering to the Work Health and Safety Management plan, policies and procedures
• Reflecting on Lessons Learnt and implement new strategies and initiatives
• Reporting safety performance on a regular basis to the Project Leadership Team and Corporate Executives
• Weekly and monthly reporting on safety KPI’s

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Must have Tertiary Education within Safety, preferably a Degree in Safety or at least a Diploma in Safety Management
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder within construction and not Civil Engineering
• Strong understanding of the construction process on large new build construction projects
• Understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice and standards
