Small family owned and operated country pub requires a Chef or experienced cook to cook & manage the day to day functions of the kitchen. The pub has recently changed ownership and we are looking for a passionate food professional to help us take the pub’s food to the next level.

Bucca is located between Gin Gin and Bundaberg, the historic pub offers pub style meals (lunch & dinner) 6 days a week from Tuesday to Sunday.

The role involves preparing quality meals for customers dining in or taking away. Further duties include maintaining stock, rotations, ordering, menu planning, costing, cleaning the cooking equipment and maintaining food safety standards and reporting, establishment and implementation of processes and procedures and training others.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating

Supervise and mentor kitchen team, providing guidance and support

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen

Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency

Collaborate with the managers to develop new menu items and specials

Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
