Aspen Holidays – Highway1 are seeking a personable, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the team as Maintenance Manager.
The Park is comprised of well-established lawns and gardens, two swimming pools, 150 permanent sites and cabins, 70+ tourist cabins, 50+ tourist caravan sites and eight tent sites and a retirement living community currently under construction.
Applicants must have a minimum two years’ experience in a supervisory maintenance role, intermediate level computer skills, excellent customer service skills and a solid understanding of landscape gardening processes.
Facility & Grounds Maintenance
- Conduct regular maintenance of cabins, amenities, recreational areas, and communal facilities.
- Maintain roads, pathways, gardens, and park infrastructure to ensure they are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
- Monitor and maintain water, sewer, and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and landscaping repairs.
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialized maintenance work.
Swimming Pool Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the park’s swimming pools, spas, and water features.
- Monitor and maintain correct water chemistry levels (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, etc.) in compliance with Australian health and safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain filtration, circulation, and sanitation systems.
- Perform pool cleaning, including vacuuming, skimming, and removing debris.
- Identify and repair pool equipment issues, leaks, and plumbing faults.
- Ensure the pool area is clean, safe, and well-maintained for guests.
- Conduct regular safety checks on pool fencing, gates, signage, and emergency equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of water testing, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Maintain all tools, machinery, and vehicles in good working condition.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Manage stock levels for maintenance supplies and equipment.
Staff Management & Leadership
- Hold regular toolbox talks with the G&M team to set tasks for the week and check in on progress.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring efficient task delegation and high-quality work.
- Conduct staff training and development to improve skills and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
This is a fulltime position with weekend and public holiday work required, the position requires the maintenance manager to man the afterhours phone 3 – 4 nights per week on your rostered days of work, an onsite three-bedroom house will be provided at a discounted rate for the successful applicant. Should living onsite not be an option, a cabin will be provided at no charge for rostered on-call coverage.
