As a Maintenance Worker in our residential aged care home, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for residents and staff. This role requires a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting the wellbeing and comfort of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic environment throughout the facility.
Keep equipment clean, well-maintained, and safely stored.
Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation and promptly report and address maintenance and safety concerns.
Carry out gardening tasks, such as pruning and maintaining garden areas.
Update and adhere to the preventative maintenance schedule.
Perform general maintenance duties, including:
Minor building repairs
Equipment servicing (e.g., wheelchairs, shower chairs)
Window cleaning, painting, and drain cleaning
Restocking supplies
About You:
Proven experience in repairs, maintenance, and/or gardening.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of people.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, allowing you to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Basic knowledge and proficiency in MS Office applications.
Basic administrative and record-keeping abilities.
A sound understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) issues relevant to this role.
Relevant qualifications in gardening, horticulture, land management, or a related field. - DESIRABLE
Licenses and Certificates:
A current, full, unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License.
A valid National Police Check.
