Human Resource Adviser – Pinnacle People | Sydney
Full-Time | High-Volume Hospitality Staffing | Dynamic, People-Centred Role

Pinnacle People, Australia’s leading hospitality staffing agency, is seeking an experienced and professional Human Resource Adviser to join our Sydney team. In this full-time position, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our casual workforce, ensuring operational excellence and compliance across a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

This is a hands-on, varied role combining recruitment, staff management, and strategic HR advisory work. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-practice HR solutions across multiple venues and high-profile events.

About the Role

As Human Resource Adviser, your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating recruitment activities: drafting job ads, interviewing, assessing, and selecting candidates

Arranging inductions and onboarding, and advising staff on conditions of service, salaries, and promotional pathways

Managing and maintaining personnel records and human resource information systems

Providing HR advice to management on workplace relations, staff performance, and disciplinary procedures

Recording job vacancy information from clients including position descriptions, wages, and employment conditions

Advising employers and job seekers on current job opportunities

Supporting dispute resolution and undertaking negotiations on employment terms and workplace concerns

Interpreting and applying legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts, and wage payment systems

Assisting with the development and implementation of workplace policies, procedures, and productivity-based employment frameworks

Supporting the formation and facilitation of staff consultative committees and employee engagement initiatives

Allocating casual employees to shifts, conducting staff check-ins, and monitoring performance and compliance

Liaising with clients to meet staffing needs and service standards in line with SLAs

Promoting and representing Pinnacle People as a market leader in hospitality recruitment

What You’ll Bring

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline

Demonstrated HR experience, preferably in recruitment or a high-volume staffing environment

Strong understanding of workplace legislation, award interpretation, and employee relations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High-level administrative and organisational ability, with strong attention to detail

Sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence with HR systems

National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as required, including some evenings and weekends
