Common Equity Housing Ltd (CEHL) provides long-term secure housing to people with low-income backgrounds who may find full market rent unaffordable. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated People and Culture Coordinator to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support across the People and Culture function and maintain our HRIS and related systems. Your exceptional attention to detail will ensure the accuracy of employee records and documentation, and your continuous improvement mindset will contribute to the successful delivery of P&C projects and system enhancements. You will enjoy the variety that the role offers, and you will benefit from learning opportunities gained through exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

ABOUT US

Common Equity Housing Ltd (CEHL) is Australia's largest cooperative housing provider. We manage a portfolio of more than 2,000 housing properties through Victoria and partner with over 90 housing co-ops to provide safe, secure and affordable housing to 5,000 co-op members, renters and the broader community. CEHL actively promotes the vital role co-operative models can play in changing people's lives and as an ongoing solution to Victoria's current housing affordability crisis.

Our modern office is based in Carlton, just a few metres walk to the cafes of Lygon Street and nearby parks. We offer a range of benefits including generous salary packaging arrangements, meals and entertainment allowance, six additional days of paid leave over the Christmas closure period, 17.5% annual leave loading and access to our Employee Assistance Program.

ABOUT YOU

This role will ideally suit an experienced HR Administrator or Coordinator with 2-3 years' experience maintaining HR systems and records and providing administration support throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proficiency in using and administering HRIS platforms, including data entry, reporting and user support.
  • Solid understanding of core P&C processes (including employment lifecycle and compliance requirements).
  • Proficient in Excel, HRIS systems, and digital collaboration tools.
  • Strong organisational and systems thinking.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High-level interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to quality improvement and best practice
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgement, determination and resilience and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

If this sounds like you, and you're looking to join a purpose driven organisation dedicated to providing long-term secure housing to people with low-income backgrounds, please apply now with your CV and a Cover Letter outlining you interest in the role and why you would like to join our team. Please note that shortlisting will commence as applications are received.

All applicants must have the right to work in Australia and will be required to undertake a Police Check. A Working with Children Check is also a requirement of this role.

CEHL is an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports accessible working arrangements for all. People with a disability, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island people, and people from culturally diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
