Alwaha Eatery is a popular Middle Eastern restaurant is Sydney known for its authentic food, generous portions, and excellent service. We are expanding and currently seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team full time.

The Role

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a range of traditional Middle Eastern dishes while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and quality. This is a full time, permanent position offering Visa sponsorship for eligible applicants.

Key Responsibility

Prepare and cook meals according to restaurant standards and recipes

Maintain food quality, safety, and hygiene at all times

Assist with stock control, food preparation, and inventory rotation

Keep work areas and kitchen equipment clean and sanitized

Collaborate with team members and report to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen

• Experience with Middle Eastern cuisine preferred

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures (HACCP)

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Salary & Conditions

• Base salary: From $77,000 AUD per year (negotiable based on experience)

• Plus 12% superannuation

• 38 hours per week, full-time, permanent role

• Located at: Alwaha Eatery, South Granville, Sydney, NSW

Alwaha Eatery is an approved sponsor under the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa program. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate who meets Department of Home Affairs eligibility criteria.
