Graphic Designer — Apparel & Print Production
We’re looking for a detail-driven and technically skilled Graphic Designer to join our creative team, with a strong focus on preparing artwork for print production across a variety of apparel. This role is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of garment printing, has strong command over Adobe Creative Suite—particularly Photoshop CC and Illustrator—and thrives in translating creative concepts into production-ready assets.
You’ll be responsible for creating and laying out artwork for garments such as t-shirts, long-sleeve fishing polos, hoodies, shorts, and headwear. A core part of the role involves preparing files in accordance with manufacturer specs, ensuring colour accuracy, and managing all aspects of print readiness.
Responsibilities
Design and lay out flat artwork for a wide range of apparel types.
Work from manufacturer templates, adhering to their size, format, and resolution constraints.
Provide accurate Pantone colour codes and artwork setup for manufacturer-specific outputs.
Export artwork using Adobe Illustrator, ensuring proper bleed, crop marks, and cut settings are in place.
Deliver files in high-resolution, ensuring output file types and compression settings match production requirements.
Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to resolve any artwork or formatting issues.
Required Skills & Experience
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop CC for detailed artwork creation, editing, and adaptation.
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator for precise print exports.
Solid understanding of file formats (AI, EPS, PDF, PNG, TIFF, etc.) and their impact on final production.
Demonstrated ability to work with colour profiles, Pantone codes, and colour management across devices and substrates.
Strong eye for detail, layout precision, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Ideal Candidate Traits
Experience in apparel or merchandise design.
Familiarity with fabric types and how designs interact with different materials.
Proactive communicator with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with manufacturers and team members.
