About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Attendant to join our team at The Island Port Cafe' in the Port of Brisbane QLD. This is a casual position, offering full time hours of 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday, with an immediate start.

As a Cafe Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of our busy cafe.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner

Preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and juices

Assembling and serving a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and other light meals

Restocking and maintaining the presentation of the cafe counter and seating areas

Handling cash and operating the point-of-sale system

Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards

Assisting with general cafe duties as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a cafe or hospitality setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service

Familiarity with food preparation and basic barista skills

A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain a clean and organised work environment

A positive, friendly, and team-oriented attitude

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays
