Key Responsibilities

Open and close the Farm Market store, ensuring stock management, inventory control, and security procedures are followed.

Liaise with delivery suppliers to ensure timely stock replenishment.

Maintain an appealing store presentation, including stocking goods and general cleaning.

Communicate with the Manager regarding stock control, returns, and supplier relationships.

Provide friendly customer service, taking orders and assisting with farm-fresh goods and foodstuffs.

Collaborate with kitchen staff, including the café cook/baker, to ensure stock efficiency and smooth food preparation.

Ensure compliance with Queensland food safety and hygiene laws.

Serve meals and light refreshments in the café area.

Perform other duties as required by the manager.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a café or takeaway setting.

Knowledge of farm produce, food handling, and safety procedures.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and suppliers. Excellent attention to detail for stock control and food service accuracy.

Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a dynamic team.

Capacity to maintain records that support the efficient operation of the Farm Market.
