We are currently seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to support and maintain a large-scale Windows Server infrastructure within a geographically dispersed enterprise environment. This role will be part of the Workplace Services team and involves hands-on system support, patching, automation, documentation, and client engagement.

Key Duties

• Support, plan, install, configure, test, and troubleshoot the Department's Windows Server fleet
• Provide expert technical advice to clients and internal stakeholders
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, procedures, and reports
• Participate in on-call and after-hours support as required
• Contribute to support rosters ensuring infrastructure reliability
• Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, Workplace Services

Essential Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) in a large enterprise
• Strong knowledge of patch management for OS, security, and application updates
• Experience with server provisioning to vSphere, Azure, or AWS using SOE/MOE methodologies
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
• High-level experience with Windows Server (2012-2025) and Active Directory
• Solid understanding of Group Policy, Windows Defender, Azure Arc, and Cloud Management Gateway
• Experience following ITIL-based Change and Release Management processes
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server

Highly Desirable

• Experience with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
• Relevant Microsoft Certifications in server administration and related technologies

Additional Requirements

• Availability for work outside core business hours (7:30am-5:30pm, Mon-Fri)
• Participation in after-hours and on-call support rosters
