Join a small, supportive team to deliver excellent client care

This role is a great fit for someone who loves animals and is enthusiastic about building positive relationships with clients. We are a privately owned business that has been operating for over a decade and pride ourselves on creating strong, genuine connections with our local community.

Your day will involve:

Responding to phone and email enquiries and booking patients for consults and surgical procedures. Training will be provided on triaging.

Greeting clients and their animals on arrival to the clinic, ensuring client files are up to date and processing payments

Providing basic education to clients on common enquiries such as flea/tick/worming treatment (training provided)

Liaising with other veterinary services such as specialists to facilitate referrals

Other administrative tasks such as placing orders with suppliers and organising routine maintenance of hospital equipment.

You may also have the opportunity to work with animals directly through tasks such as:

Assisting with basic care of the adoptable cats in our rescue hub

Supporting the vet during consults with holding animals for blood draws etc.

The ideal candidate will have:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Confidence managing a multi-line phone system and a busy front desk

Strong emotional intelligence and ability to support anxious and distressed owners compassionately and professionally

Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception setting preferred but not essential.

The role is part-time, 20-30 hours per week, with capacity for immediate start.
