Salary Range: $59,392.02 - $60,154.26 per annum + applicable allowances + added value of overtime & penalty rates depending on work performed

Position Type: 1x Full-Time Permanent & 3x Full-Time Temporary until Nov 2026

We have exciting opportunities for hardworking and reliable labourers to join our Water Services Team!

What you Will do:

You will assist with Council’s dedication to deliver essential water services that keep our community healthy, safe, and running smoothly. You will play a vital role by assisting in maintaining and improving water reticulation assets.

Your daily activities could include but are not limited to:

Assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water reticulation mains, service connections, water meters, valves, and hydrants.

Operating and maintaining tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

Performing water main and service locations.

Troubleshooting issues in water delivery systems and working to resolve them promptly.

Ensuring work sites are clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards.

Who We Are Looking For:

Secondary education to Year 10.

A current MR class drivers’ licence.

Construction White Card

Working in Proximity to Traffic (WPT) – Awareness Parts 1 & 2

Physical wellbeing to receive training and accreditation for entry into confined spaces.

Previous experience in water systems maintenance and construction works.

Good written and communication skills and an understanding of basic mathematics.
