About this opportunity:

You will be required to carry out labouring duties, operate plant and truck equipment associated with the maintenance and construction of roads and drainage assets. This may include but are not limited to working on all sorts of drainage structures - laying pipes, building headwalls or culvert slabs. Building footpaths or concrete pavement.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Current General Construction Safety "White" Card
  • Current QLD Manual Car 'C' Class Open Driver's Licence
  • Current QLD Medium Rigid Truck 'MR' Class Licence (or ability to obtain within 6 months of commencement).
  • Current Traffic Controllers Ticket (or ability to obtain within 3 months of commencement).
  • Certificate of Competency and previous experience in working around plant, equipment and machinery.
  • Experience in safe operation of civil construction hand tools
  • Demonstrated experience in road and drainage construction and maintenance activities
  • Experience in bitumen tasks and concrete works
  • Previous experience as a truck driver
  • Attention to detail, with a safety and quality focus

  • Base annual salary of $61,444 = $1181 per week + allowances as applicable
  • Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply).
