Registered Nurse – In-Home Aged Care (Private Family Role)

Pay Rate: Above Award (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide in-home care for an elderly gentleman recovering from a hip fracture and living with dementia. This is a private family role based in Melville, WA, offering flexible hours and above-award pay. You will deliver personalised, high-quality care in a respectful and supportive home environment. This position is ideal for a nurse who values one-on-one care, autonomy, and making a meaningful impact in a patient’s daily life.

Responsibilities include:

Personal care and daily living support

Medication administration and monitoring

Wound care, hygiene, continence, and mobility support

Observations and timely communication of health changes

Compassionate engagement with the patient and family

Liaising with allied health professionals as needed

Light documentation and care planning input

Essential Criteria:

AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Minimum 3 years nursing experience

Strong clinical judgement and observational skills

Empathy, patience, and a calm approach

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently in a home-based setting

Police clearance and COVID vaccination (required by law)

Highly Desirable:

Experience working with dementia patients

Previous experience in private or in-home care

Flexibility with hours and availability across weekdays and weekends
