The Governance team plays a vital role in supporting Council operations and elected officials. As the Senior Elected Member Services Officer, you’ll be instrumental in delivering exceptional services to Elected Members, coordinating training, travel, and entitlements, and leading projects that enhance governance practices.
What You'll Do:
- Manage Elected Member entitlements, training, travel, and expenses
- Provide governance advice to Elected Members in line with legislation and policy
- Maintain the Elected Member Portal and website content
- Manage the Council Services listing in the City’s Relationship Management System
- Provide effective reporting and information relating to Elected Members Services
- Drive change projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in developing and reviewing of policies, management practices and processes to foster continuous improvement
- Prepare reports and manage relevant registers and budgets
What You Bring:
We’re looking for a proactive and diplomatic professional with a passion for governance and service excellence. You’ll ideally bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management or equivalent experience
- Advanced customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience in project coordination and governance support
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and other systems
- Ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive matters
