empire group are seeking an experienced Recruitment and Engagement Officer to support high volume recruitment within a large Queensland Government Department.

About the Role

As a Recruitment and Engagement Officer, you will work collaboratively within a dedicated Careers Team to deliver contemporary, innovative, and transparent recruitment processes that support the organisation's commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment processes end-to-end, including advertising, shortlisting, assessments, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
• Assist in implementing effective recruitment processes to attract and engage candidates.
• Undertake candidate care activities to ensure a positive candidate experience and promote the organisation as an employer of choice.
• Ensure integrity and confidentiality of HR and candidate documentation.
• Support onboarding activities and maintain accurate training records.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders, representing the Careers Team professionally.
• Assist with day-to-day administration, data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
• Interpret legislation, directives, policies, and procedures related to recruitment and selection, providing accurate advice to selection panels.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Proven recruitment and engagement experience in a similar fast-paced environment.
• The ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines within a high-volume recruitment environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams (essential).
• Springboard system experience (highly desirable).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise information.
• Ability to rigorously research and analyse information to support decision-making.
• Commitment to customer service and stakeholder engagement.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to work.
