As part of their continued growth strategy in NSW, they are now seeking a Project Sales BDM to drive new business opportunities, build relationships with builders and consultants, and win large-scale design & construct fire packages.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, technically capable sales professional who thrives in project environments and is ready to work across some of Sydney’s most prominent new developments.
About the Role
As the Project Sales BDM, you’ll be responsible for identifying, targeting, and winning new fire protection packages for construction projects across NSW and the ACT You’ll play a key role in early engagement — establishing relationships with builders, developers, and consultants to position the business as the fire contractor of choice.
You’ll work closely with an internal estimating and design team to develop tender responses, support technical proposals, and negotiate commercial outcomes.
This is a sales-focused, hunter role with full support from a technically capable project delivery and leadership team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify upcoming commercial and infrastructure projects requiring fire protection services.
Build and nurture strong relationships with Tier 1 and 2 builders, mechanical contractors, and consultants.
Track major project pipelines via bid portals, pre-construction networks, and industry events.
Engage early with project stakeholders to influence scope and solution development.
Partner with estimators and engineers to prepare tailored D&C proposals and technical submissions.
Attend design meetings and contractor briefings.
Negotiate contract terms and secure new projects with commercially sound margins.
Collaborate with operations teams for smooth project handover.
Maintain CRM, reporting tools, and pipeline forecasting.
What You Bring
4–7+ years’ experience in fire protection, building services, or construction-related project sales.
Solid understanding of fire systems (wet/dry), AS2118, AS2419, and BCA/NCC.
Proven success winning medium-to-large scale construction packages ($500k–$5m+).
Strong builder, contractor, and consultant networks within NSW.
High level of commercial acumen and sales process discipline.
Ability to engage in technical discussions and read construction drawings/specs.
Professional, persuasive communicator with drive and resilience.
VBA or FPAS certification is advantageous but not essential.
